Victor Harbor young gun claims silver at NSW motorcycle Speedway Championships | The Times

Junior motorcyclist and Year 8 Victor Harbor High School student Ashley Jansen-Batchelor has done the region proud, earning a sliver medal at the 2021 NSW 125cc and 250cc Speedway Championships.

After six weeks off the bike battling an injury, Ashley arrived at the event raring to go.

Held in Woodstock, NSW on February 13 and 14, the Championships attracted some of the best junior riders from across the country.

The time off certainly did wonders, as Ashley dominated the 125cc competition from his first race.

After five heats he was the equal top points scorer with 12 points and ultimately came away with second place in the final.
