At the December Yankalilla Council meeting a Motion on Notice was presented to assist the Carrickalinga Ratepayers Association and Nature Foundation SA to purchase Allotment 301, located at Brown Road, Carrickalinga.
It was in response to a deputation at the meeting from Nature Foundation’s Hugo Hopton.
Council supported a loan to Nature Foundation SA of $500,000 to support the purchase and for the loan to be for a maximum of 10 years.
Council also agreed, in principle, to commence a road opening process to support the purchase of Allotment 301 by opening a road on Allotment 301 abutting Allotment 300 and providing rear access to Allotment 300.
