Finals approach for Great Southern cricketers as 2020/21 minor rounds conclude | The Times



Port Elliot and Goolwa face uphill battles as the final minor round weekend of A Grade cricket in the Great Southern Cricket Association begins this weekend.

Encounter Bay have made inroads to the Bloods’ 116, and similarly Noarlunga claimed two late Magpies wickets in their defence of 125.

Tyron Rigney’s 6/34 was critical in the Shoes’ first innings total not being any more, and similarly, Simon Roberts took 7/31 in the other match to keep McLaren Districts to 129.

The bat wielded strongly across much of the B Grade, with Myponga (8/214), Seaford Rise (9/201), Noarlunga (7/202) and Yankalilla (4/234) all batting through their overs to post 200-plus scores.
